Class A (Age 7 and under) one or two pieces not exceeding 2’ in total

Class B (8-10) one or two pieces not exceeding 3’ in total

Class C (11-13) one or two pieces not exceeding 4’ in total

Class D (14-15) one or two pieces not exceeding 5’ in total

Class E (16-18) one or two pieces not exceeding 6’ in total

Additional Information

The New Piano Stars Competition is open to pianists ages 18 and under who are residents of the United Kingdom. The first competition took place in 2015, and it has become an ongoing tradition of Nite Piano School.

The competition is an extension of our school's determination to instill a love of music in our pupils which they will carry with them and pursue throughout their life. 

Prizes & Recognition

All participants will receive a certificate of participation and constructive feedback from renowned pianists. Additionally, winners will receive the opportunity to be featured on Nite Piano School's social media (videos selected at the discretion of the Marketing Team), and cash prizes!

The competition will take place in St Andrew's West Church (formerly Renfield St Stephen's Church), 260 Bath Street, G2 4JP, Glasgow.

Please note that the starting times for all the classes are as follows:

Class A - Saturday 9th of November at 1pm
Class B1 - Saturday 9th of November at 2.30pm
Class B2 - Saturday 9th of November at 4pm
Class C1 - Saturday 9th of November at 5.30pm
Class C2 -Saturday 9th of November at 7pm

Class D - Sunday 10th of November at 2.30pm
Class E - Sunday 10th of November at 4pm
Adjudication will take place at the end of each class and the Sam Hutchings Prize will be awarded after Class E.
